The Space of Memory | 2008
The Brion tomb in San Vito d'Altivole
and the Gipsoteca Canoviana in Possagno,
two extraordinary pieces of evidence of Carlo Scarpa's work:
evocative spaces wich generate tensions, expectations, meditations.
From these questions rises the desire
to favour the ambiguity of space:
inside and outside,
macroscopic and microscopic,
light and shade.
Not to cross the threshold,
to wait for the change of light
in order to follow its movement
upon materials and shapes that it covers.
In the silence, without violence.
